Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of BotScore (the browser extension and botscore.io). By installing the extension, visiting the site, or purchasing Pro, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
BotScore is a browser extension that scores pages for bot and crawler readiness. The marketing site is botscore.io. Support: [email protected].
The service
- Free tier: full single-tab audits, GEO score, issue highlights, Agent Brief copy, CSV export, and limited saved comparison slots—no account required.
- Pro tier: additional comparison slots, saved custom rules (advisory), bulk tab audits, and PDF export, unlocked with a paid license key.
- Team and Enterprise: higher caps or custom contracts when offered; checkout or contact details appear on the site when live.
Audits run locally in your browser. BotScore does not operate an audit backend and does not receive your page HTML or audit results. See our Privacy policy for details.
No BotScore account
We do not provide a BotScore login. Pro access is delivered as a license key after purchase. You activate the key in the extension (Settings → General). One license is intended for one browser install unless your purchase terms say otherwise.
Paid plans and billing
Pro and Team subscriptions are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Prices shown on botscore.io (for example, Pro at $9/month) are set at checkout. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, tax, receipts, and subscription renewals.
After purchase you receive a license key by email. The extension validates that key with our license server to unlock Pro features. Validation sends only the license key and a stable install identifier—never page content.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through Lemon Squeezy's customer portal when available, or by emailing [email protected]. Refunds are described in our Refund policy.
License restrictions
- Do not share, resell, or publish license keys except as allowed by your purchase.
- Do not reverse engineer the extension to bypass licensing or tier limits.
- Do not use BotScore to violate applicable law or third-party rights.
- Do not scrape, overload, or attack botscore.io, our license server, or Lemon Squeezy.
Your content and sites
You retain ownership of pages you audit. You are responsible for having permission to audit sites you do not control and for how you use audit results.
Disclaimers
BotScore provides automated guidance on machine readability and related signals. Scores and findings are not legal, SEO, or accessibility advice. We do not guarantee search rankings, crawler behavior, or compliance with any standard.
The extension and site are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BotScore and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the extension or site. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you use the free tier only.
Changes
We may update these terms or the product. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
Termination
You may stop using BotScore at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may suspend or revoke license access for breach of these terms. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where BotScore is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply where required by law.
